Study on the Hepatic Artery

Abstract
This study was undertaken to find out the modus of the origins and distributions with their variants of the hepatic artery based upon 418 dissections of Korean fetuses, which were injected with 8% vinylite solution added 3% fast red B in acetone.
The results were summerized as follows:
1. The cases which had an abnormal origin of the celiac artery were in 3.1% (13 cases). 2. The cases which had no common hepatic artery were in 9.6% (40 cases). 3. The cases which had no proper hepatic artery were in 16.7% (70 cases). 4. The cases which had an accessory left gastric artery were in 14.1% (59 cases). 5. The cases which had ,an accessory left hepatic artery were in 7.7% (32 cases). 6. The cases which had an accessory right hepatic artery were in 5.7% (24 cases). 7. The cases which had a replacing left hepatic artery were in 3.8% (16 cases). 8. The cases which had a replacing right hepatic artery were in 5.5% (23 cases). 9. There was one case which had the replacing left and right hepatic asteries. 10. The cases which had the typical branching modus were in 58.6%.
